Isolated Traumatic Gallbladder Injury: A Rare Case

The prevalence of gallbladder injury in a traumatic event is rare, occurring only 1.9%-2.0% all abdominal traumas. Isolated injuries, without any damage to surrounding organs or tissues, are even less common. Presenting symptoms often nonspecific, and imaging modalities ultrasound (US) CT usually relied upon diagnose accurately. Identifying strategically treating cases injury, through reviewing this case report, important for patient outcomes. We present isolated 27-year-old male after sustaining blunt-force trauma from snowmobile injury. presented the emergency department (ED) three days initial with complaints significant pain associated eating solid food. Upon workup, he was found have an which laparoscopic cholecystectomy performed, discharged no complications. Gallbladder evidence other intra-abdominal rare not considered differential patient. Delayed intervention adverse outcomes, emphasizing need consider injuries patients presenting pain, especially history chronic alcohol use.
